Getting started with Remote Play on PC or Mac

Using the PS Remote Play app, you can control your PlayStation®5 console or PlayStation®4 console from a PC or Mac connected to a high-speed network. Check your PC or Mac meets the requirements and then follow the steps below to set up Remote Play.

Since the remote play is truely a feature of Windows 10 playing on a mac without Windows 10 will not work. OneCast is a streaming app developed for streaming Xbox into Mac, Android, IOS, Apple TV. This application is widely used due to the absence of Microsoft apps. This app can stream into a 1080p video for great gameplay.

Pre-requirements of using OneCast

• Mac (Mac OS 10.1 or higher)
• Xbox One or higher (Xbox 360/other gaming consoles not supported)
• Wifi Network.

Steps to use OneCast

Step 1) Prepare Your Xbox:

Press the Xbox logo on your controller and then go to the following Path

Profile & system -> Settings -> Devices & connections -> Remote features -> Xbox app preferences.

Now we must Do the following Settings

In “This Xbox”, Allow game streaming to other devices.

In “Xbox app “, check “Allow connections from any device” or “Only from profiles signed in on this Xbox”.

Step 2) Prepare your Mac

Download the OneCast file from the official website. Here is the link

Step 3) Open the dmg file and drag it to the application folder.

Step 4) Connect your computer to the same Wi-Fi network as your Xbox is connected. We need to have a good Wi-fi connection for a seamless experience

Step 5) Select Register Xbox One and the app will search for your console and then sign in with your Microsoft id which is the gamer tag you use in your Xbox.

Wait for a moment or two and now your Xbox is connected to the Mac.

Can you use OneCast while you are away from Home?

No, it is not possible. Playing games on your home network is easy but when you are away it makes things much complicated and it makes games almost unplayable. Thus it is not recommended and not possible.
